1. Develop the Contract Management process and procedures and ensure that existing Contract Management practices are appropriate and meet the company requirements.
2. Ensure that contracts meet minimum company specifications, adhere to timeframes and meet quality assurance, HSE, cost control, tax and insurance requirements.
3. Liaise with project manager in contracting strategies development and ensure its alignment with project goals & objectives considering project constraints.
4. Identify/ review contracts risks and advise mitigation strategy.
5. Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed across the project scopes of work by controlling the overall project risk and opportunity review and reporting process.
6. Negotiate commercial terms of contracts with clients & suppliers, including milestones, payments, deliverables, logistics and terms & conditions.
7. Review contract terms & conditions, advice approach to potential changes/ claims including documentation preparation in advance.
8. Settle claims/disputes with clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers.
9. Oversee the preparation of procurement proposal documentation including tenders.
10. Manage and coordinate contract administration activities, providing contract administration resources to bids and projects, ensuring that all aspects of the contract during the bidding and execution phase are addressed with the objective of contributing to maximize project revenues.
11. Administer tender packages for subcontractors, including checking invoices and payments.
12. Accountable for weekly reports on status of tenders/subcontractors and a weekly expediting report.
13. Report to CEO on the progress of contracts and procurement.
14. Manage insurance certificates, guarantees and mechanical/practical completion certificates for the contracts.
15. Source/assist with identification of service providers when required.
16. Ensure that contracts are valid and legally sound.
