Job Descriptions

The Research Assistant will work under the supervision and guidance of the PI of the project to study the quantum invariants of quasi-alternating links. The expected outcome of this study is to find obstruction criteria for quasi-alternateness leading to the characterization of this class of knots and links. The progress of the research work will be discussed through regular meetings with the PI. Minimum Degree: PhD in Low Dimensional Topology or in a related field. Qualifications: The candidate is expected to have a solid background in knot theory, and precisely has interest in quantum invariants of links and three-manifolds. In addition, he should have a track record of conducting high quality research in the field and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates with international experience in the research field are preferred.
